Privo Sweep Sandals (2009-06-03)
I love these sandals! They are so comfortable for me, and I have a difficult time finding shoes/sandals that stay comfortable all day long. The stone color is a great color for my khaki pants/shorts/capris. I also have these in black. These sandals are the type that you want in every color. Great buy!

Comfy but not the most exciting looking sandal (2009-01-12)
Privo Sweep Sandal - This sandal is very comfortable straight out of the box, I attribute this to the "bubble" footbed. It is true to size, I ordered my usual size and it fits perfectly. However, the look of the sandal is quite ordinary and casual, I did not fall in love with the look of it. It is just a tad better looking than regular flipflop, with slight heel. I am keeping it because it is a comfortable shoes to run errands in.

Great shoes! (2008-12-12)
Although Privo is an offshoot of Clarks, a UK-based company, the sizes listed here are for US customers. When I contacted Privo directly, they were fast and friendly in responding and offering suggestions and clarification.

In another product also offered by them, I noticed that a customer recommended ordering half a size smaller. I elected to *not* take this advice, because although I have small feet, they're wider than standard. This worked out well and the shoes fit perfectly - so, if you have wide feet, go ahead and order your normal size. If you have standard/small feet, order half a size smaller for a better fit.

The footbed of these sandals are EXTREMELY comfortable - I feel like I'm walking on a pillow! The only thing I would prefer is if the footbed were black instead of light gray, but I'm not bothered by it too much.

Incredibly comfortable! (2009-07-21)

These Privos are incredibly comfortable shoes. The comfort is comparable to gym shoes. I especially like the "bumpy" insole. It feels like it is massaging my feet with every step. I wear my shoes with and without socks. I really like to take them on vacation. My feet do not get tired or sore even after an entire day of walking. The shoes do run a little big though. I normally wear a size 6 but had to purchase a size 5 1/2.

The only reason I didn't give these mules a five star is because I can't seem to keep them on my feet. That is probably more my problem than the shoes themselves. They are comfortable, well made and really cute -- just wish I could keep them on my feet. If you like the looks and don't have problems hanging onto your mules, I'd definately recommend a pr.

Sizes and comfort level for different styles by Privo are not consistant. I have 2 other pairs. This one has a harder sole and is a bit short. My toes are scrunched.

I have walked in these Privo Mesa Flats in Peru, Canada and many other places. They are comfortable, great looking and I've had strangers comment how much they like them.

Shoe runs about a half size smaller (2009-08-15)
I had bought these shoes for my mother who wears a half size to a full size bigger than I do. While she could get her foot in, it was not perfectly comfortable, so she gave them to me. It is a comfortable fit for me.

I have noticed though that when you walk, the heel padding seems to sink and this tends to cause your heel to rub against the back. I think this is probably best worn with socks to prevent blisters.

Not my favorite Privos. (2008-11-09)
I purchased these after owning the "Float" flat Privos, which I love and wear constantly. I figured that a new pair of Privos would be just as fantastic as the first. This is not the case, however. These shoes are stiff and uncomfortable. The fit is "off", for lack of a better term. If you're looking for your first pair of Privos, go with the Float. Also, the picture of these is a bit darker than the actual shoes are.

It took a while to get here, but my privo shoes are very comfortable and stylish.

Something wrong with the heel (2008-10-14)
When I first put on these shoes, they feel beautiful -- soft, cushy, but good support. However, within 5 minutes, the heel area around the achilles tendon is in agony! It's as though this shoe doesn't just rub, it hits in such a way as to cause cramping. I'm not sure why, as technically the shoe fits perfectly -- not too loose, not too tight. So basically now I own a shoe I can only wear as long as I don't actually walk in it.

This shoe is extremely comfortable and I was able to wear it for a long period of time without having to break it in. The colour aloe is proving to be good as it goes with / compliments most anything I wear. My only complaint is that the soles can be a bit slippery, especially on wet surfaces. I am used to other Privo styles that have great grip.

I LOVE these shoes. My job requires me to be on my feet the majority of the day and I am never wincing my way in pain back to my car at the end of the day. I love this shoe - so cute and comfortable. I own several pairs of Privo and they all run about a 1/4 to 1/2 size big but this one does not, it is very true to size. I wasn't sure I wanted a suede shoe because they are generally harder to keep clean but this one is impressivly resistant to water and mud. Love it!

These shoes are really adorable, but they give me blisters and without thick socks (which don't work with these shoes) they give me blisters. I am going to try to find a shoe repair person who might have some advice about how to prevent the blisters.

I agree with the previous reviews. The shoes are extremely comfortable but the strap requires stretching and dug into the top of my foot for a bit. The fit is pretty snug that i suspect i wouldn't be able to wear socks with the shoes and therefore have not tried. I agree that likely a thin sock would work best. I'm glad i was able to quickly stretch the strap because i love the shoe. I've seen tons of reviews of this brand running a 1/2 size larger, I have never had that problem yet but know some people who've said the same thing. So far this brand fits true to size for me.

At first the top strap of the shoes hurt a bit. The shoes fit, but the strap was uncomfortable. Now that I've stretched it a bit, they are very comfortable and I wear them both with and without socks.

Great sandals! Nice looking and very comfortable! Very good for the summer. I usually wear size 9, but after having read some of the reviews, I desided to order size 8. They really run a little bit big, but just half a size. I had to return them and get 8 1/2 size. Those are perfect.
The delivery was on time as always. Never had any problems with Amazon.

I bought these for myself, my cousin, my aunt and my mother - we all love them! They are sturdy, well made, stylish, go with pretty much anything but an evening gown. They are perfect for long walks on almost any terrain; great to take on vacation. I have worn them in the woods, on a Hawaiian volcano, on sandy roads in Guatemala, to work. I even wear them in dry weather in winter, with socks. The sizing is exactly as advertised. If you are used to getting bigger size to accommodate width, do not do so with these. They are wide enough in their true size.

I teach children with autism. Some of them are runners. I have to be on my feet and active a lot at my job. These shoes are dressy enough to wear to wear with a skirt or dress pants to work, but I can run and walk in them. This is the first day I've had them. They are so comfortable, I felt like I was wearing my slippers all day. I didn't want to take them off when I got home. I'm about to order a second pair!

Great shoes and much better quality than expected!!! (2009-01-29)
I bought the white in a size 9 medium. I usually wear a size 9.5 medium or a 10 medium and these shoes fit perfect! The foot bed is like a pillow. I can't believe how comfortable they were from the second I slipped them on my feet. The color is beautiful. It is definitely not a bright white color but a very light taupe color with a little silver sheen. They will go with absolutely everything. Love them and I only paid $[...]!!!

Very comfy...and so cute. I absolutely love them. I will advise you, however, that my foot is "thick" so I had to stretch one of them b/c it was a little tight over the top of my foot. Otherwise, they are great.

Cute and Comfortable (2008-11-29)
These are really cute and comfortable shoes. They go well with both jeans and khaki pants. The only issue I had was with the sizing. The sizes for Privo shoes aren't consistent. At first I ordered a size 6.5, which is the usual size I were for most shoes, but these felt a little too tight so I had re-order these in a size 7.0 instead. I have also bought two other privo shoes, the "cidar" and "hop" flat, which were both different sizes as well, one 6.5 and the other 6.0.

Shoes (2010-01-18)
I read all the reviews on these shoes that said they run big so I ordered them a half size smaller than normal, and they are do not run smaller. I should have ordered my regular size. I wanted them to wear with my wedding dress, my soon to be husband and I are both the same height and I wanted a comfortable no heel shoe, but I don't think these will be it. I of course don't have time to return them.
On the plus side, these shoes are adorable!

Exceptional pair of shoes - Privo is the best (2009-11-09)
I have never ordered a shoe online before and always been nervous that i cannot pick the right shoe without trying it on. But this one turned out to be exceptional. I usually wear a 6M, but I picked up 1/2 size smaller, since it is a flat and when I was exploring flats in few stores I noticed that 6M in a flat is a little roomy and shoe comes off as I walk. Given that, I ordered a 5.5M in Brown and it fits me perfectly well. It is most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. This is the my first flat shoe and it is amazing. For the amazon price, it is surely worth it. I would definitely recommend this Brand and this product. Good bye to hunting your perfect pair of shoes from store to store. This is it.

Bought a black pair Kristie, needed comfort flats for travel. Did not want the "granola look" (nothing wrng with that). Put them on, went to New York and walked a couple hundred blocks. Feet were happy & styling and these were new out of the box! I wore them with capris/summer skirt & a nice jacket, the strip of patent just nails it. Just bought a another blk & a grey pair, getting the white ones, also bought the Mosie/blk. For comfort, you can't beat Clarks. Just found Kristie are discontinued, what the what! C'mon Clarks, put them back and make some more Stylin' Privos. Put me in your ads, I will sell your shoes!

Great sporty/dressy hybrid! (2010-04-07)
The shoe is super comfortable and will suit my needs just fine. I needed something dressy enough to wear with a sun dress while on vacation, but that I could walk around a resort in without being miserable. I bought the patent black version and am overall, very pleased. The sole is soft and flexible...feel like I could walk for a mile in these. And the upper is dressy enough to pair with a skirt/dress if desired. The toe loop is comfortable for me...but if my big toe were any larger, it might seem a little tight. I also understand the one reviewer's issue with the "adjustable" strap. There really is not much adjustment option. There is only about a quarter inch of adjustability between each strip of velcro...so it either fits or doesn't. And one of the straps seems to be slightly longer than the other...so I have a perfect fit on the left foot and a slightly looser fit on the right...not too big a difference, and with the 1/4 inch of adjustability, it is fine for me....(and could be a difference in my feet and not the shoe??) The one thing that I find a little troubling is that the soles tend to 'squeak' on a hard surface, but I like them enough to get beyond it.

Not bad, but not great (2009-08-03)
These shoes have a very comfortable foot bed and a lot of cushioning, which I love. They look great and are versatile enough to be worn with shorts or a skirt.

I did, however, find that my knee starts to hurt if I wear them too long. The strap around the toe was a little too tight for my liking, not allowing enough wiggle room for the big toe. And since the ankle straps are not adjustable, they are always just a little too loose around my ankles.

For a shoe in this price range, I would have expected better.

comfy and cute (2009-07-14)
I bought these for a summertime trip to europe and they were great. The soles are cushy enough for lots of standing/walking and they are cute with either pants or skirts.

This was a pair of the most comfortable, cute shoes I have ever purchased. I was so impressed. But, I had to send them back because the ankle strap was to big and it does not give to much adjusting.

These run big and I could not find a size where the back strap fit properly. When you first put them on you think they are going to be oh so comfy and cushy but still my feet hurt every time I wear them. As other reviews stated the back strap does not fit properly.

LOVELY Sandals, Very Comfortable (2008-12-02)
These sandals were taller than I expected, but I can walk around all day and hit the bars at night without great discomfort in them. I highly recommend them for you if you want a touch of that rugged style to your sandal. These run a size large, so order 1 size down. I'm a huge fan of the slingback and wedges, so these were the perfect summer shoe for me. Incredibly good deal too.

I bought this at the Clark's store and the salesman said this shoe runs one to one and a half sizes too big. I couldn't find a size that the back did not slip off. Otherwise it is very comfortable.

I ordered a 5.5M (instead of a 5) since i read that these might run a bit small. I didn't expect them to be so narrow. they are a very narrow fit and am still trying to stretch them out. i have not been able to wear them for long periods of time because of the narrowness.

PROS: Very comfortable shoes to wear to work in the office or just out to the grocery store. Since they are slip-ons, they are very convenient to put on and take off.
CONS: Sole is very soft. I've already worn off many of the traction nubs toward the heel end of the shoes, and they're only a year old.

Of all the shoes I own which can be worn with a skirt - these are by far the most comfortable. There's plenty of toe room, they're light and flexible and the leather is so soft. I'm very happy with them. They might be a tiny bit on the large side, but that's ok.

I only bought this color because that was all that was available in size 12. I wish I could have these in brown and beige so they would go with everything.

These are the best shoes I have purchased in quite some time. I feel like I should buy another pair for if and when these ever wear out. They are so cute - I wear them with jeans, with skirts, with capris, whatever. The best part by far is the comfort - they are really lightweight, yet durable, and just really comfortable to walk or stand in for long periods of time. The most comfortable shoes I own (2009-05-02)
I am a nurse, on my feet for 12 hour shifts. These are my favorite shoes to wear to work. They have been comfortable from day 1. I have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable, and always wore Crocs before. I am also able to find these in size 10.5, rather than having to go to a size 11 like I do in most brands. I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes, and tried Privo Mesa, which isn't quite as comfortable. They might not be for everyone, but I'm sold on them.

I bought these instead of the Sofrito style since Privo has discontinued the Sofrito style:( These are almost (thus the 4 stars) as comfortable but for me they rub a little on top of my foot (I have extra bones due to flat feet). Sporty, comfortable and convenient (2009-02-08)
True to size, these shoes are very comfortable. They slip on easily and provide good heel/arch support. I've been on my feet for extended periods of time wearing these and have had no discomfort yet. The massaging insoles are really nice - some of the newer Privo styles seem to be discontinuing this unfortunately. Makes feet look smaller, and the style is casual and sporty.

Overall,a 5-star from me.

These sandals are so comfortable and light! I walk about a mile each way to drop off and pick up my kids for school. My feet do not hurt after walking for a long time. The look is classy and stylish, not clunky. I highly recommend these shoes. I love any of the shoes by Clarks. Most of my shoes are by Clarks. Because of the brand's reputation I know when I order any Clarks shoes online, I know that I am getting really good, comfortable, quality shoes.

Cute but a wee bit of an ouch (2009-09-22)
Really think its a cute sandal but the toe thong seems off center particularly on one foot so that the leather strap pulls hard on my toes. I just don't wear them much and hope in time it softens up.

Cute shoes, and probably would have been comfy, but they ran a half size too big. Didn't bother to exchange because I was headed out of town. Be cautious about the size you choose.
