Great sporty/dressy hybrid! (2010-04-07)
The shoe is super comfortable and will suit my needs just fine. I needed something dressy enough to wear with a sun dress while on vacation, but that I could walk around a resort in without being miserable. I bought the patent black version and am overall, very pleased. The sole is soft and flexible...feel like I could walk for a mile in these. And the upper is dressy enough to pair with a skirt/dress if desired. The toe loop is comfortable for me...but if my big toe were any larger, it might seem a little tight. I also understand the one reviewer's issue with the "adjustable" strap. There really is not much adjustment option. There is only about a quarter inch of adjustability between each strip of velcro...so it either fits or doesn't. And one of the straps seems to be slightly longer than the other...so I have a perfect fit on the left foot and a slightly looser fit on the right...not too big a difference, and with the 1/4 inch of adjustability, it is fine for me....(and could be a difference in my feet and not the shoe??) The one thing that I find a little troubling is that the soles tend to 'squeak' on a hard surface, but I like them enough to get beyond it.
Not bad, but not great (2009-08-03)
These shoes have a very comfortable foot bed and a lot of cushioning, which I love. They look great and are versatile enough to be worn with shorts or a skirt.
I did, however, find that my knee starts to hurt if I wear them too long. The strap around the toe was a little too tight for my liking, not allowing enough wiggle room for the big toe. And since the ankle straps are not adjustable, they are always just a little too loose around my ankles.
For a shoe in this price range, I would have expected better.
comfy and cute (2009-07-14)
I bought these for a summertime trip to europe and they were great. The soles are cushy enough for lots of standing/walking and they are cute with either pants or skirts.
